My name is Zachary Goodman. I’m a freelance music director and pianist, creating unique performances for a modern world.

I’m currently available for consulting engagements.

I’m based in NYC, but willing to travel to wherever the music takes me.

After graduating with a masters degree in orchestral conducting, I had the privilege of working on operas with a few wonderful companies. Due to the current pandemic, I have been taking the extra time to explore multimedia outlets in order to expand the avenues available for classical music to reach and expand its audiences.

Tradition

Classical music has withstood the test of time for a reason, and I see no reason to shy away from it. It’s the rich tradition that keeps classical music alive and it is my mission to preserve that practice.

Emerging Opportunities

It is my dream to help classical music tackle 21st century problems with 21st century solutions, such as investigating and experimenting with the technology available in order to enhance the average concert goer’s experience.

Modern Champion

As a champion of living composers, I have dedicated my development on keeping the tradition of classical music alive for generations to come by welcoming and showcasing the next generation of artists.

Today, I’m working with the Refugee Orchestra Project as their Associate Conductor, currently in talks with various producing venues in NYC with the hopes of finding a residency for the upcoming seasons.
